Weeks 15 and 16

Wow!  Another week recording two weeks together.  I'm not doing very well this year, am I?  Well, actually last week I was quite sick.  I've had some terrible stomach issues and then it caused some really bad back problems.  Last Sunday, I could hardly sit up and I just couldn't muster up the concentration to write about my week.  To be honest, I can't remember much about that week except for the fact that I felt terrible!

So, as for our life these days, baseball has started up, Spring has finally arrived, and the school year is starting to wind down.  All three older kids are playing baseball on different teams.  Brooklen is playing AA, Hurley is playing coach-pitch (her first year), and Zaya is playing t-ball (her first year too).  In addition to that, Brooklen has hockey and scouts and both girls have gymnastics.  Most nights it is pretty manageable, but every once in a while, we have some conflicts.

The weather took a major turn this last week and it finally feels like Spring!  I love Winter and I love the time I spend in my house in the Winter, but I noticed a change in my mood this week.  I guess fresh air actually does make a difference in how happy I feel.  It was so wonderful to be able to spend some time outside with the kids and to be able to take some long walks around our neighborhood.

Yesterday, Brooklen had hockey and baseball and we spent the rest of the day outside, working in the yard.  Rob went and got three loads (in our Jeep) of free mulch and we weeded and mulched all of our plant/flower beds.  Since we have neglected mulching since we moved to this house, it was a LOT of work.  But, at the end of the day, it was so nice to look back at our work and see how much better it made our house look.  I am looking forward to lots more of these projects over the next few months.  Tomorrow, I plan to make a list so that I can start my "Spring Cleaning!"

Here are a few pictures from bath time this week.  These kids are crazy!  I love that Zaya wanted to pose with her hands hidden in her sweater and Hurley was in the background making a shape with her fingers!
